I am Biswaroop Chatterjee (a.k.a. Biz) and the pages in this website contains information about me and some of the work that I have done in the past.
Educational Background
I recently completed my Masters at Cornell University (Spring 2005) in Computer Science. I also hold another Masters Degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah and a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, India.
Professional/Academic Interests
I am currently working for Provenir Inc., a Consumer Finance Enterprise Software company based in New Jersey. I am principally interested in the areas of Algorithms, Computational Finance and Machine Learning/Data Mining.
Prior Interests
My Masters project at Cornell was done in collaboration with the Civil Engineering Department, as a part of a team developing a software which generates and validates gravity-based water supply networks in developing countries based on GPS survey data. This software is already being used out in the field in Latin America.

I have worked in the area of Self-Assembly with Prof. Peter J. Stang from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. The majority of this work is contained in two papers. The first paper was published in the Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry and the second one was published in the Journal of American Chemical Society in collaboration with NASA Ames Research Center.
